About Acido Lattico

The lively hum of conversation and the subtle aroma of fresh dough fill the air at Acido Lattico, creating an inviting yet unpretentious ambiance that draws diners into a genuine Italian pizza experience. Though the space is modest, the thoughtful decor and casual vibe enhance a sense of warmth, making each visit feel comfortably familiar. Glimpses of the kitchen reveal skillful hands stretching and baking dough, a theatrical portion of the evening that complements the overall atmosphere without overwhelming it. Photography enthusiasts searching for Acido Lattico photos often find that the changing light and rustic tones make for compelling visuals beyond just the food.

Pizza at the heart of this restaurant captures the attention with its perfect balance between tender crust and fresh toppings. The menu at Acido Lattico showcases both classic and inventive options, yet the simplicity of the ingredients remains a constant strength. Not every pie is flawless; occasional inconsistencies in crust thickness arise, reminding diners that this is a place where craftsmanship embraces small imperfections. Patrons who read Acido Lattico reviews frequently note the subtle interplay of sourdough and traditional pizza-making techniques, a nuanced detail that sets it apart from more commercial establishments. Toppings are thoughtfully paired, allowing the underlying dough’s character to shine.

Beyond food, the tempo of service sometimes fluctuates, particularly during peak hours, although staff maintain a pleasant demeanor throughout, navigating the bustling room with ease. Value here reflects the quality of produce and care invested but leans toward a slightly higher range compared to nearby pizza spots. Feedback found in various Acido Lattico restaurant discussions suggests a steady appreciation for authenticity and finesse, even if not every visit yields the same spontaneity or precision. This nuanced reputation invites a visitor’s curiosity, particularly those who favor artisanal techniques and an experience that feels rooted in local tradition rather than polished uniformity.

Good pizza but overall experience can improve. The pizza is made with a soft dough like in Napoli, very light and good. The ingrediend are of course italian quality. Servixe was a bit slow, maybe they are a little understaffed co sidering the amount of tables available. Atmosphere nothing special.

Real Neapolitan pizza done right. I had the Scamorzetta which was perfect. Quick service even though it was busy. This is a top pizza place in Catania.

We were at Acido Lattico twice during our stay in Catania. At the first time we luckily found a table for 7 people without reservation. The kind waitress let us wait a couple of minutes and there started the great experience. We ordered: antipasti for 6 people. Good start. After that we ordered pizzas: e.g. Versace, Rikkotta, Margherita Acido Lattico and others. Local Sicilian beer. All of these were very tasty. The waiting time was not long. Everyone gave the highest rating. A couple days later we decided to visit the restaurant again. This time with two of us. We got Versace again and Scamorzetta. Before them we ate pistachio arancini. And once again very good choice. As a desserts we choose tiramisu and panna cota. Well this wasn’t so delicious as expected. Definitely Acido Lattico is a genius place as serving pizza. There are also cozy and nicely finished rooms and smiling and helpful waiters. I definitely recommend visiting this place during your stay in Catania.

Last meal in Catania was at Acido Lattico. They specialize in gluten free pizzas. Busy on a weekday evening (9:00pm) but no wait for a table inside. Pizzas were in the 8,00€ to 15,00€ price range. No extra cost for gluten free. Coperto was 2,00€/person. - Piccante (10,00€) - best gluten free pizza we’ve eaten. Great chew, satisfying bite. Even had a decent kick - Al pesto di pistacchio di Bronte DOP (15,00€) - speck with pistacchio pesto Delicious gluten free pizza at AL.

Best pizzas I ever have ever. I spent 5 days in Catania and went there 3 days. I tried 3 most popular pizzas there and they’re all amazingly delicious. Deserts are delicious as well. Service is really good. If you order multiple courses, they’ll wait until you finish your 1st dish before bringing out the pizza so you can get hot and delicious meal. Price is affordable. It costed 50€ for 1 salad, 1 fried fries, 1 pizza and 2 drinks

The Pizzas were really delicious! I think it’s the best one in Catania so far! The Antipasto Mix was also a real delight. The service was great and the people very welcoming.. too bad the place is hidden between the buildings and not really very pleasant.. but i definitely recommend :)

Great bustling restaurant . Exceptional menu with a verity if great options. The pizza at Acido Lattico is simply divine. The crust is crispy, and the sauce is tangy, flavorful, and fabulous. The toppings are fresh and perfectly cooked, and the overall taste is simply mouthwatering. The crust is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and it is cooked to perfection. It is thin and crispy on the outside, but soft and chewy on the inside. I highly recommend this Neopolatin-style pizza.
